Part of my artistic pursuit after conducting the academic research “Unveiling Embodied Multiplicities of Motherhood,” was aimed at sparking conversations around societal oversights, hidden vulnerabilities, and the unspoken burdens that mothers carry. Recognizing that motherhood extends beyond mere action, I sought to intertwine emotions, embodiment, and the knowledge I have gathered through research to craft immersive experiences. One of the strategies was to have visual-auditory poems that were designed to offer an accessible activation within an exhibition and beyond it. Writing different thoughts on paper is for me, a cathartic process, and that is how the art music album M(other) was born.

born out of trash
Thoughts that pass through one’s mind,
Thoughts that maybe should never be spoken,
Thoughts that you feel so deeply,
Thoughts that cut the skin,
Thoughts that maybe should just be thrown away.
Thoughts that have a song of their own,
That start screaming from the trash bin,
Wanting to be heard,
Wanting to relate to other thoughts.
Are there any other thoughts that want to relate with mines?
